Day 20
The Lady of Winter creates an icy landscape as life complies and settles into its slower rhythm. The stillness and silence grant us safe passage into our deepest depths as we realize that we ourselves are not frozen in time. Our hearts, minds, dreams, and imagination are all alive and well in this gift of sacred space. It is here under the blanket of snow and ice where we can stretch into our vast potential. It is here where we give thanks to the Lady of Winter for this gift she has offered. However, it is up to us to explore these lands within and prepare to grow, shift, and change as we are reborn with the Child of Light on Solstice morn.
Over the last weeks we have walked a path together that wove its way between our shadow and light. We have explored our depths and held the scared that is alive and well within us. By taking the time to be gentle with ourselves and to hold our tender parts in our hands, offering them compassion, we gave ourselves a gift that no one could ever offer us. We offered ourselves mercy and grace. They are two very important gifts that can be difficult to offer to yourself. However, when we do receive these sacred gifts, the results can be long lasting, incredibly healing, and transformative. It is my hope that this journey helped to ease you though a trying and vulnerable period of time, especially in the year of 2020.
So tonight, as you lay your body down to for a deep and restorative rest, what will you dream of? What will you free yourself from? What will you grant yourself permission to do? How will you continue to nurture yourself? What new chapter will begin as you wake up tomorrow on the Winter Solstice morning, reborn in the Yuletide light?
May you be blessed during this time of rebirth and transformation.
Blessings,
