With the first day of spring approaching, there is a stirring of life that is fluttering all around us. The trees are beginning to bud. The birds have returned with their songs. The snow and ice are melting. We can even feel the warmth of the sun on our skin again. Tiny crocuses and snowdrops are breaking through the thawing soil, reminding us that we can do the same. It is a wonderful time of year. The energy of life is rising and with it brings new dreams and the promise to begin again.
As we ease into a new season, we can feel the shift in the energy within and all around us. Preparing for spring’s arrival, we know that winter is loosening its grip on us. Soon, we will emerge from our long rest and reflection to flow with the Tide of Life once again. We can feel the electricity in the air. It is a time of hope, promise, and rebirth. There is an excitement that inspires us to dream of warmer days and happy gatherings as we look forward to enjoy our life outside again. But what if we are not ready to fully step outside yet?
Some of our dreams and intentions are known and may have already been set in motion. Things that reside on our surface tend to ‘warm up’ quicker and can come to life earlier. We know what we have planned and act accordingly. Yet, there are parts of us that are a little deeper and may still need time to come to life. Dreams and possibilities that may not be fully developed can feel like they are still buried beneath the heavy snow and ice of winter. If we offer ourselves the chance, we can explore those areas and discover things we were afraid to dream about. By bringing the light and fire of our heart and soul to it, we can begin to melt that snow and ice creating a new river of inspiration within ourselves. This act self-discovery can help to break the stagnation that keeps us from moving forward. This newly opened door can lead to a whole new landscape to cultivate our lives. We may even find ourselves doing things that we never thought were possible. It is one of the many beautiful benefits of self-exploration and reflection.
So, as the sun is warming and moving closer, take some time to allow yourself to do the same. Set aside some time and explore those pieces of yourself that are deep within. What are some of your wildest dreams? What have you talked yourself out of because you thought you weren’t good enough? Think about something you pushed out of your mind because you asked yourself, ‘who the heck am I to do that?’
Now ask, ‘Why not me?’
Allow the question to resonate within you. Feel your heart’s light and your soul’s spark. Begin to melt that ice and snow, freeing not only an old dream, but a big and wonderful piece of yourself that you have not been able to accept. Let that piece rise with the Tide of Life and flow into your heart. This is one of the many powers of Spring. This is also one of the many powers you hold.
Be well today,
