When History Knocks at the Door

The Revolutionary Spirit is rising, igniting the fire in the hearts, bellies, and heads of every day Americans. The egregore of the Sons of Liberty is rising, feeding the rippling vibrations beneath our feet. Its power inspires us to do what we can to offer our voice to the chorus of the opposition. There is…

Out of the Shadows

There are times when we need to take a deep breath and step out of our own shadow and into a space that is different from what we are comfortable with.  Often, this is done when we are not fully sure how we will land. I know it is not easy. I know it is not something to take lightly. Yet, there comes a time when continuing on the same comfortable path is no longer an option. So, this is where I find myself in the present moment.

After a few years of toying with the idea, I decided to create a website a few months ago. I am sure that it is a step that seems like a no brainer to some on their path. For me, it is something quite different. I have always teetered on the edges of “Yes! Let’s do this!” and “Who the heck am I to be out there in the world like that?” This is a dance I have partnered with for just about my entire life. It’s funny, I often get a confused look from people when I tell them that. “You always seem like you have no trouble at all getting out there and going after the things you want.” If they only knew what was going on behind the polite smile and tilt of my head in response to them.

There have been so many experiences in my life where I struggled to stand in front of others expressing my beliefs. I would get butterflies in my stomach. I would need to remind myself to take deep breaths, to ground, and center. I think that it is part of the process. I also think that it is part of life. What we decide to do with it is up to us. Those decisions will also open up a road to a new adventure or leave us in the same living space.

I have been doing a lot of self-reflection this year and that brought me to a few simple thoughts. In this moment, this time and place we call ‘2020’, so many things are shifting and changing. As a result, I could not stay in a place mentally, emotionally, and spiritually that I was not comfortable in. I could feel the energy around me tighten. I could sense that what I was doing wasn’t really working. I didn’t feel that I was living in an authentic way anymore. My throat felt closed. My heart was heavy. My thoughts were pushing and pulling me in different directions. Even my physical body was yelling at me to take notice from my injured ankle to my tight, dry, and itchy skin. I was in a place that no longer suited me. After some realizations and a whole lot of magick, I decided I needed to take my step forward – even if I didn’t feel like I could do it. The time for change was upon me. I chose to take the leap forward into a place that was new and a little bit scary. What that has shown me, is that there is a whole lot of room to grow in a space that has a lot potential for even more possibilities.

It is my intention with this site to inspire you. I hope to show you that you have the potential to create a space for your dreams to grow. You are living in these difficult times for a reason. You have medicine in your soul. You have voice that needs to be heard. You have a heart that is worthy of being loved and giving love. You are deserving of a space that offers you support and a safe place to land when all feels dark. I am one person, one voice, one heart. Together, we can make foundation where we can build a place of hope and promise in a time where so many are searching for it. We can be that hope because I believe that we are that hope. I look forward to meet you and see what can be built upon this journey.

Blessings to you and yours,

Renee

Writing for the Morrigan

So, as I sit in my sacred space, I begin…

…The time has come for the tides to change…

…We all have our gifts that are needed within our society. We are healers, weavers, poets, dreamers, warriors, visionaries, creators, organizers, seers, and leaders. But to achieve full potential, our full potential, we must first acknowledge that we are these things. What makes you, you? What talents do you possess? What gift do you bring into this life? Not all of us can be on the frontlines, waging every battle. What we need to create the change is for us to look within ourselves, heal, and reach out into our circles. Work in the areas that you are strong, passionate, and talented in. Band together with a common cause and unite. There is strength in numbers. I choose to raise my voice and add my song to the chorus.”
